It is appreciated in geotechnics and environmental engineering for enhanced erosion control, protection from water and wind, of soils subject to surface detachment phenomena, loose or friable.

VIRMAT can also be applied at very steep angles, up to 70° , providing effective protective and vegetative action.

The structure of the geomat has been designed to guarantee a high level of anti-erosion protection and to permanently retain a layer of topsoil in the upper part of the mat, thus guaranteeing humidity and thermal protection for the seed contained in the biotextile underneath.

VIRESCO prevents the loss of fine soil in any weather conditions and guarantees a perfect vegetal covering.

On the one hand, this will provide robust protection for the slope right from the start , and on the other , rapid grassing and reinforced anchoring of the roots to the ground and to the three-dimensional structure made invisible by the vegetation.

The result will be a single, strong block resistant to erosion.

In the case of traditional three-dimensional, non-pre-seeded geomats, it is necessary to spread the seeds underneath, before laying or above, after laying.

With VIRMAT everything happens in a single operational phase, with great efficiency and lower costs.

VIRMAT is a particularly suitable solution for:
